Michael (name changed for privacy) came to Care Alliance Network after spending years in a hospital setting with limited independence or autonomy. At 34, all he wanted was to live in a home — not a ward.
Our SIL team worked with Michael, his family, and his NDIS planner to find the right home environment. Eighteen months later, Michael is living in one of our SIL homes in Sydney, participating in community activities, and recently started a part-time employment program.
"I never thought I'd have my own room, my own space, and people who actually listen to what I want," Michael says. "Care Alliance gave me a real home."
